GoHighLevel Solar Snapshot for Residential Installers
The GoHighLevel solar snapshot is our build for residential solar installers and sales teams, covering the whole path from a consented web lead to a booked consultation, a signed contract and permission to operate. Setters, closers and project coordinators each get their own board. We tailor every asset to your territory and offer through our custom GoHighLevel snapshot service.

GoHighLevel Solar Snapshot Highlights
The build mirrors a solar deal that can run for months, with a clear owner for every stage.
Consent-First Lead Form
A homeowner form with consent wording that names your company, placed beside the phone field, plus an optional utility bill upload.
Setter Pipeline
New leads move from first contact to qualified to consultation set, so setters always know who still needs a call.
Closer Pipeline
Consultations move through proposal, financing and signed contract, with a nurture lane for homeowners who are not ready yet.
Site Survey Booking
Signed customers pick a site survey time online, and the crew calendar shows who is going to which roof.
Install Milestone Updates
Customers hear from you at each project milestone, from permit approval to install day to permission to operate.
Referral Campaign
Once a system is producing, happy customers get a referral page and a review request in your own words.

How the Solar Build Works From Lead to PTO
The asset list, the consent rules that shape it and what changes after installation.
Why a GoHighLevel Solar Snapshot Needs Three Pipelines
Residential solar is not a one-call sale. A homeowner fills in a form, talks to a setter, meets a closer, compares financing, signs, and then waits through a site survey, design, permitting, installation, inspection and utility approval. That journey can take months.
One pipeline cannot hold all of that without becoming useless. The GoHighLevel solar snapshot splits the work into three boards, each owned by a different role.
- Setter: new lead, contact attempted, conversation held, qualified, consultation set.
- Closer: consultation held, proposal presented, financing submitted, contract signed, plus a nurture lane for not-yet homeowners.
- Project: site survey, design approved, permit submitted, permit approved, install scheduled, installed, inspection passed, permission to operate.
Leads arrive from Facebook and Google ads, your website, door-to-door canvassing, home shows, customer referrals and third-party lead vendors. Tagging the origin of every lead lets you compare cost per signed contract instead of cost per form fill. If snapshots are new to you, start with what a GoHighLevel snapshot is.
Solar Asset List
| Asset type | Solar version | What it fixes |
|---|---|---|
| Pipelines | Setter, Closer, Project and PTO | Hand-offs between roles stop getting lost |
| Forms | Homeowner lead form with consent, utility bill upload form, referral form, post-install survey | Closers see usage before the consultation |
| Calendars | In-home or virtual consultation, site survey, install-day calendar | Homeowners book times without phone tag |
| Automations, by outcome | Speed-to-lead reply, consultation reminders, no-show rebook, proposal follow-up, long-term nurture, project milestone updates, review and referral asks | Quiet periods during permitting stop feeling like silence |
| Templates | SMS and email for each stage, written without savings promises or incentive claims | Messages stay accurate after incentive rules change |
| Custom fields and values | Fields for roof and shade notes, utility company, financing path and project dates; values for license number and service area | Every role sees the same facts |
| Funnels | Savings consultation page, referral page, battery and backup power page | Each campaign lands on a page that matches it |
| Dashboards | Leads, consultations, contracts and projects in each stage | Owners spot where deals stall |
Fields are described by purpose. Your sales team and proposal tool decide the final list during the build.
Numbers a solar sales manager can check
- Speed to first contact: time from form submission to the first setter call or text.
- Consultation show rate: consultations held divided by consultations set.
- Close rate by source: signed contracts per lead channel, including purchased leads.
- Contract to PTO: days from signature to permission to operate, which shows where projects wait.
- Cancellations before install: signed deals lost during financing, permitting or scheduling.
All five come straight from pipeline stages, so they stay accurate only if each role moves its cards. We do not quote industry benchmarks; your own trend line is what matters.
Utility Bills, Site Surveys and Proposals
A closer who sees twelve months of usage before the meeting runs a better consultation. The bill upload form attaches the file to the homeowner’s contact record, so it is waiting when the appointment starts.
Most installers already design systems and build proposals in dedicated solar software. That tool stays in charge of layouts, production estimates and pricing. The snapshot tracks where the proposal stands and follows up when a homeowner goes quiet. We do not assume a native connector to your proposal or financing platforms; any data link is scoped separately.
Smaller teams can send agreements through HighLevel’s Documents and Contracts feature for e-signature. Contract wording, cancellation rights and financing disclosures come from your counsel and lenders, not from us.
Lead Lists, Consent and the Do Not Call Registry
Solar is one of the industries where texting and calling rules matter most, because so many leads are bought or shared. Under the TCPA, marketing texts and calls made with automated technology generally need the homeowner’s prior express written consent. Before you import a purchased list, ask the vendor how consent was captured and whether it names your company.
Calls to numbers on the National Do Not Call Registry are another limit. The FTC’s Do Not Call guidance for sellers says call lists must be synchronized with the registry at least every 31 days. An inquiry creates a business relationship that lasts three months, unless the person asks you to stop.
Some states add their own layer. Florida’s FTSA, for example, treats text messages as telephonic sales calls. The snapshot’s lead form puts consent wording next to the phone field, opt-out replies are honored, and nobody is texted until your numbers pass A2P 10DLC registration. This is general information, not legal advice; confirm with counsel.
Incentive Claims in 2026 Templates
Many older solar templates still promise a federal tax credit for homeowners. The IRS summary of the One Big Beautiful Bill provisions states that the residential clean energy credit is not allowed for expenditures made after December 31, 2025.
That is why our templates contain no incentive or savings claims by default. If your state, utility or financing partner offers a program, we add the wording you and your advisors approve, and remove it when the program ends.
Install Paths and What Stays Behind
A snapshot carries setup, not history. Leads, appointments, conversations, reviews, phone numbers and payment or third-party connections stay behind, so texting registration and integrations are set up fresh in your account.
Agencies can load the GoHighLevel solar snapshot into a new sub-account or choose specific assets for an existing one, overriding or skipping any conflicts. Installers usually leave that to us. Our snapshot installation guide covers both paths.
Installers that also do electrical service can compare this build with our electrician snapshot. Before buying any solar template, read custom vs free snapshots; free builds often text lists with no consent check and still promise expired credits.
Solar Snapshot: Questions, Answered
Ours includes setter, closer and project pipelines, a consent-first homeowner form, a utility bill upload form, consultation, site survey and install calendars, follow-up and nurture messages, project milestone updates, referral and review requests, campaign pages and dashboards. Everything is tailored to your territory and sales process before installation.
Technically yes, but consent comes first. Marketing texts and automated calls generally need prior express written consent, and Do Not Call rules still apply. Ask the lead vendor how consent was captured and whether it names your company, and have counsel review before any list is messaged.
No. Design, production estimates and pricing stay in your proposal tool. The snapshot tracks whether a proposal was presented, financed and signed, and follows up with homeowners who go quiet. Smaller teams can send agreements for e-signature through HighLevel Documents and Contracts.
No. The IRS says the residential clean energy credit is not allowed for expenditures made after December 31, 2025, so our default templates make no federal credit claims. State, utility or financing programs are added only with wording you and your advisors approve.
The project pipeline has a stage for each milestone, from site survey to permit, install, inspection and permission to operate. When your coordinator moves a project forward, the customer receives a plain-language update, which cuts down on status calls to your office.
Yes. The snapshot includes a battery and backup power page, and other offers can be added as their own pages and pipeline lanes. Extra landing pages can be built through our funnel building service, using claims your team can support.
